In the lab

Have a look of what I’ve been up to.

Fluorescent in-situ hybridisation (FISH)

The Bridger lab has been pioneers of FISH for many years, tailoring the technique to cancer cells, progeria cells, stem cells and snail cells! The chromosome and/or DNA on interest signal is measured by a radial erosion technique before graphical calculations using MS excel to scale it along the interior or periphery of the nucleus. This video shows radial erosion software at work.

Cell Culture

These are some images of ovarian cancer cell lines that I have grown in the past year. I took them with my iPhone as best I can but, thought they might useful to other researchers as morphology references since, it was difficult for me to find when I started. As I gather more information, I would make it available.
